Dr. Royal, who is a retired Major, has served in the United States Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserves for over 22 years. MAJ Royal's illustrious career has included deployments in support of Operation Desert Storm, Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq and Kuwait.
As a native of neighboring Sampson County, his ties with this community has energized a desire to serve such a diverse population as found here in Cumberland and surrounding counties.
